چکیده
The destructive power of typhoons has been continuously increasing due to the influence global warming. In a situation where installation floating wind turbines is around world, concerns about huge losses and collapses offshore strong are deepening. Regarding safe operation turbines, development new type disconnectable mooring system required. newly developed apparatuses, such as fairlead chain stoppers (FCS) submersible pulleys (SMP), considered in this study devised more easily attach or detach turbine with lines compared other systems. order investigate structural safety initial design FCS SMP that can be applied MW class floating-type scaled-down models were produced using 3-D printer, tests performed on those models. For models, tensile specimens acrylonitrile butadiene styrene material used printing process prepared, properties evaluated by performing tests. Finite element analyses applying obtained from same load boundary conditions model Through finite analyses, weak parts reviewed. considering main stopper, test results analyses. study, it was possible experimentally verify apparatuses. Furthermore, improve strength detailed stage.

Wind-wave induced dynamic response analysis for motions and mooring loads of a spar-type offshore floating wind turbine
Due to the energy crisis and the environmental issues like pollution and global warming, the exploration for renewable and clean energies becomes crucial. The offshore floating wind turbines (OFWTs) draw a great deal of attention recently as a means to exploit the steadier and stronger wind resources available in deep water seas. This paper studies the hydrodynamic characteristics of a spar-typ...
متن کاملEffect of Platform Surge Motion on the Performance of 5MW NREL Offshore Floating Wind Turbine
In this study, an unsteady aerodynamic simulation is performed to realize the influences of platform surge motion on the aerodynamic performance of a high capacity offshore floating wind turbine. A dynamic model with pitch angle control system is utilized to propose a more realistic model of wind turbine and also achieve the rated condition of the rotor. The transient effect of platform surge m...
متن کاملMooring Line Damping Estimation for a Floating Wind Turbine
The dynamic responses of mooring line serve important functions in the station keeping of a floating wind turbine (FWT). Mooring line damping significantly influences the global motions of a FWT. This study investigates the estimation of mooring line damping on the basis of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory 5 MW offshore wind turbine model that is mounted on the ITI Energy barge. A numer...
